Calling all explorers - it's time for an adventure!
Pull on your walking boots and go on a SCAVENGER HUNT through The Station and Museum Park.
Thanks to Newy with Kids and Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation, the self-guided hunts are fun and FREE outdoor activities where you’ll discover hidden gems of the former railway stations, uncovering clues and solving mystery phrases.
THE STATION - SCAVENGER HUNT
Explore the platform and piazza unveiling secrets about the sites unique history. Uncover clues about The Station's Aboriginal and European heritage, spot the original railway bell and timetables, climb aboard 'The Flyer' train, and say a brave hello to the big snake and frog in the kids playground while you're there!
MUSEUM PARK - SCAVENGER HUNT
Once you've explored The Station, hop on the Light Rail to 'Civic' where you can rummage through Museum Park - a colourful community space with stunning public artworks, connections with Honeysuckle and Newcastle Museum, and beautiful garden beds where the trains once stopped.
