HIGHLIGHT: FRINGE FOR FAMILIES
Newcastle Fringe Festival, March 20-21
A highlight of the Newcastle Fringe calendar, Fringe for Families will be a weekend celebration of live performance, art, fun and creativity. Attractions include teaser Fringe performances, market stalls, music and workshops in kids theatre, trash art and hula hooping.

EASEL ART SPACE: CREATIVE STUDIO
Exploring the intersection where art, science, culture and technology come together - Easel Art Space showcases local art and pop-up exhibitions, offering a variety of workshops, events and creative experiences for all age groups. Follow on Instagram for opening hours, workshop and event updates.

MAKE SPACE GALLERY & WORKSHOP
A gorgeous experimental creative workshop and gallery operated by a talented collective of award-winning local artisans. The gallery showcases a collection of local handmade creations including jewellery, homewares, clothing and one-off artworks for viewing and purchase. PLATFORM & PIAZZA
The Station's community space has reopened with a mix of pop-up fun and shopping.
There's room to relax on the platform and picnic lawn, and plenty of space for the the kids to burn energy scooting and playing on the huge landscaped piazza - BYO scooters and helmets!

THE 'FLYER' TRAIN
The Flyer is an interactive interpretation of the iconic Newcastle Flyer express steam train that ran between Newcastle and Sydney from 1929 until 1970. The public art installation on The Station's platform has lighting and interactive sounds - and is a big hit with kids and families (as well as rail enthusiasts alike)!
