There's also a kids corner with a big frog, snake and climbing obstacles - and lots of shaded picnic tables for relaxing while the kids let loose on the scooter track (BYO scooters and helmets).

The Flyer is an interactive interpretation of the iconic Newcastle Flyer express steam train that ran between Newcastle and Sydney from 1929 until 1970. The public art installation on The Station's platform has lighting and interactive sounds - and is a big hit with kids and families (as well as rail enthusiasts) alike!
